Rodgers is a two-year back out of Oregon State. Last season, as a rookie, Rodgers rushed the ball every so often and caught some passes. This year, he became more of a threat and even showed glimpses of just how good he can be. He is a small guy, but that fools defenses as he is very strong for his size plus he has blazing speed. He ended up rushing the ball a total 94 times for 362 yards and a touchdown. He also caught 53 passes for 402 yards and another touchdown.
Rodgers has a slim chance to become to number one running back next season. There was an obvious decline in Michael Turner's play and Rodgers appears to be the future for the Falcons. It will be decided in training camp, but no matter what, look for Rodgers to become an even bigger part of the offense next season.
