Falcons' Player Recap: Jonathan Babineaux

Today's Falcons' player recap will be over defensive lineman Jonathan Babineaux.
Babineaux is an eight-year pro out of Iowa. He was drafted by the Falcons and has been with them his whole career. He has been a mainstay on the defensive line and is good at stuffing the run and getting a sack every so often. In 2012, Babineaux had 31 tackles, 3.5 sacks and he even had an interception and a touchdown on a fumble recovery.
Babineaux should be in Atlanta again in 2013. He is the highest paid defensive lineman, so the Falcons could release him to free up salary, but it isn't expected to happen. He will most likely be the top defensive tackle again next year and, if John Abraham did leave, he would take over the leadership role on the line.
