Today's Falcons' player recap will be over tight end Tommy Gallarda.
Gallarda is a one-year pro out of Boise State. He spent the previous season on the Falcons' practice squad and bench, but this year he appeared in nine games for Atlanta. He played mainly on special teams and was used primarily on offense as a blocking tight end for running plays. He did catch one pass this year for seven yards in the win over the Washington Redskins.
Gallarda will probably be with the Falcons' again next season. He could also see more playing time if Tony Gonzalez definitely retires. As it looks now though, he would be behind Michael Palmer and Chase Coffman on the depth chart. He could possibly leave if he gets the opportunity for more playing time somewhere else.
