Today's Falcons' player recap will cover corner back Peyton Thompson. It is also the last day that the recaps will cover the secondary. Tomorrow will start the beginning of special teams players.
Thompson is a rookie out of San Jose State. The Falcons didn't draft him but signed him as an undrafted free agent. He proved to be good enough for Atlanta to hang on to but he didn't see any game action in 2012. Thompson could be around next season, especially with the Falcons being thin at the corner back position now. At best though, he would make the team as a special teams player.
