Falcons' Player Recap: Sean Weatherspoon

The next Falcons' player recap will cover linebacker Sean Weatherspoon. It is also the final recap over the linebackers. The next recap will start coverage on safeties/corner backs.
Weatherspoon is a three-year pro out of Missouri. When the Falcons first drafted him, they envisioned him being a star on defense and he has become just that. He had a career-high 115 tackles in 2011 for Atlanta and last year he finished with 96 tackles despite missing three games with an injury. He also had three sacks and made his first career interception.
"Spoon", as Falcons' fans have come to know him, will be back next year and will be leading the line backing corps. There will probably be a few new faces at linebacker for the Falcons next season, so "Spoon" will be in charge of helping them become a part of the team.
