Suns End Hawks' Winning Streak

The Hawks had their four game winning streak snapped on Friday night in a 92-87 loss to the Phoenix Suns. Phoenix has been on a tear of late.
The Suns have now won three games in a row, including their victory over the Hawks and a surprising win over the San Antonio Spurs, who have the best record in the NBA, a few days ago. The Suns were led in scoring by Goran Dragic, who had nineteen points. New arrival Marcus Morris was next with sixteen points, followed by Wesley Johnson with fifteen, Jermaine O'Neal with twelve and Marcus' brother, Markieff Morris, had eleven. Phoenix is now 21-39 on the season with the victory.
The Hawks lost in the second game of their road trip, the current trip will cover six games. They have had a weak point most of the season where they play well against good teams but falter against the bad ones, and this is a team they should have beaten easily. They need to win against easy teams like this to help themselves in the playoff picture.
Al Horford led the Hawks in scoring again, he had 20 points. Kyle Korver added seventeen points, while Devin Harris had twelve off the bench and Anthony Tolliver added eleven points. Josh Smith had a terrible night only scoring five points, but he did lead the Hawks with ten rebounds. DeShawn Stevenson dislocated a finger in the first quarter, but luckily it wasn't bad enough to keep him out of the game, he returned in the second quarter. Also, the Hawks announced the sent Mike Scott back to the NBA developmental league. Since he isn't getting any playing time in the NBA, the Hawks want him to sharpen his skills there.
Atlanta is now 33-24 on the season. They will travel to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers on Sunday at 9:30 p.m. The Lakers are struggling this year and currently stand at 29-30.

Kyle Korver drives with the ball, he scored seventeen points in the Hawks' loss to the Phoenix Suns on Friday night.
