Falcons Sign Brian Banks

The Atlanta Falcons signed linebacker Brian Banks on Wednesday. Banks was exonerated of rape charges a little less than a year ago.
Banks had been a sixteen year-old junior in high school and had a verbal commitment with USC when a classmate accused him of rape. He spent five years in prison and five years on probation before the former classmate came forward a decade later and said it wasn't him.
He had received try-outs with the Seattle Seahawks, Kansas City Chiefs and the San Diego Chargers. He also played two games last year in the United Football League (UFL) before it folded. Now at 27, Banks will get a shot to live his dream and make it onto an NFL roster with the Falcons as a linebacker.
