Hawks Lose Game 1 to Pacers

The Atlanta Hawks playoffs got off to a bad start on Sunday afternoon as they suffered a 107-90 loss.
The Indiana Pacers take a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series. They can thank Paul George for helping them achieve that as he recorded a triple-double. He led the team with 23 points, twelve assists and eleven rebounds. George Hill was next on the team with eighteen points, Roy Hibbert had sixteen, David West and Lance Stephenson both had thirteen and Gerald Green came off the bench to score eleven. The Pacers used a big first and third quarter to help themselves out to a big lead that eventually gave them the Game 1 victory.
The Hawks never outscored the Pacers in any quarter throughout the game even though they shot 50 percent from the field as a team and the Pacers only shot 44 percent from the field. The Hawks haven't won a game yet in Indiana this season. Jeff Teague led the Hawks with 21 points. Josh Smith added fifteen points, Al Horford had fourteen and Ivan Johnson scored ten off the bench.
The Hawks are now down 1-0 in the series and their next game will be on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The game will be in Indiana so the Hawks will have to try and win for the first time at the Pacers' arena.
