Braves Trounce D-backs

The Atlanta Braves finally got back into the win column on Monday night, they beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 10-1.
The Braves had thirteen hits in the victory. Justin Upton had a huge night against his former team, he had four hits, including his thirteenth home run of the year. He also drove in two runs and scored two runs. Chris Johnson also had a big night against what is also his former team, one of his three hits was his third home run of the year and he also drove in three runs. Brian McCann also hit his third homer of the season, he had two hits and drove in three runs. Freddie Freeman added two hits for the Braves, Dan Uggla and Reed Johnson each recorded a hit and an RBI.
Mike Minor had an impressive start, the first one by a Braves' starting pitcher in their last four games. He pitched six and two-thirds innings and gave up only a run on eight hits, it was a solo home run to the Diamondbacks' Paul Goldschmidt. He also struck out four batters in the game and picked up the win, he is now 5-2 on the year. Anthony Varvaro got the final out of the seventh and David Carpenter and Eric O'Flaherty pitched a perfect inning each to help the Braves win.
The Braves are now 22-16 on the year and they will continue their series with the Diamondbacks tomorrow night at 9:40 p.m. Julio Teheran (2-0) will try and continue his streak of impressive starts against Arizona's Patrick Corbin (5-0), who has the best start to a season of any pitcher in Diamondbacks' history.
