Hawks' Player Recap: Ivan Johnson

Today's Hawks' player recap will be over Ivan Johnson.
Johnson is a two-year pro forward out of Cal State-San Bernardino. He has spent both seasons with the Atlanta Hawks. He battles anger issues, but he does play with passion. He also has glimpses of being a strong power forward that can't be controlled by other teams' defenses. He played a big part of the Hawks' bench this past year.
He averaged 6.6 points this past season for the Hawks and also averaged 3.9 rebounds a game. Overall for the year, he scored 452 points and pulled down 266 rebounds, both new highs in a season for his career. His best game of the year came against the Orlando Magic on March 30th when the Hawks' won, 97-88. Johnson had 21 points and pulled down ten rebounds for a double-double.
Johnson is a free agent this off season. The Hawks should have strong interest in re-signing him to once again come off the bench and provide a strong presence at power forward. If the Hawks don't sign him though, some other team will.

Ivan Johnson has been a big part of the Hawks' bench the past two seasons after they signed him out of nowhere before the 2011 season.
