Teheran, Braves Dominate Twins

Julio Teheran and the Braves dominated the Minnesota Twins on Monday night at Turner Field and won 5-1.
The Braves' offense gathered nine hits in the victory. Dan Uggla's three-run homer in the first inning was the biggest blow to the Twins. It was Uggla's eighth home run of the year. Justin Upton and Juan Francisco led the Braves with two hits apiece. Freddie Freeman and Andrelton Simmons both had a hit and an RBI in the win. Jason Heyward and Teheran also added a hit apiece in the game.
Teheran had easily his best outing of the year and possibly the best outing of any Atlanta starter so far this season. He ended up going eight and a third innings while giving up five hits, one of those being a solo homer to Josh Willingham in the ninth inning. He also struck out four and earned the victory, he is 3-1 on the year. Luis Avilan and Cory Gearrin combined to get the final two outs in the ninth, Gearrin earned his first save of the season.
The Braves are now 26-18 on the year and they will play game two tomorrow against the Twins at 7:10 p.m. Tim Hudson (4-3) will try and turn his season around as he faces Mike Pelfrey (3-4) of the Twins.
