The Braves collected ten hits in the game. Jordan Schafer led Atlanta with three hits, including a big two-run single in the second inning. His speed also played a factor as it helped him beat out throws for a base hit, the winning run and he also stole two bases. Johnson's one hit on the night was a big one though, as it drove in Schafer for the winning run. Brian McCann also had two hits in the game and scored a run, Dan Uggla, B.J. Upton, Justin Upton and Andrelton Simmons all added a hit in the victory.
Paul Maholm did a fantastic job pitching but unfortunately he didn't get the victory. He pitched six innings and gave up a run on six hits, one was a homer to Mike Aviles. David Carpenter and Scott Downs combined to pitch a scoreless seventh inning. Luis Avilan came in and gave up a run on two hits in the eighth which caused Maholm to not earn the victory. Craig Kimbrel pitched a perfect ninth by throwing only eight pitches and he earned the victory and is now 3-2 on the year.
Atlanta is now 80-52 on the season and they will wrap up their three-game series with the Indians tomorrow night at 7:10 p.m. Kris Medlen (10-12) will make the start in the finale against Ubaldo Jimenez (9-8) for Cleveland. Also, the Braves made room for Uggla on the roster by sending Todd Cunningham back to Triple-A Gwinnett, but he will most likely be back with the Braves next week when rosters expand for September.

Chris Johnson drives in the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth to give the Braves a 3-2 win over the Indians on Wednesday.
