The Philadelphia 76ers ended a five game losing streak with the win. The Sixers poured on the scoring all night, dominated in rebounding, and played like a completely different team compared to the team that went through the losing streak. They usually dominate and beat the Hawks though. Evan Turner led the Sixers with 21 points, Thaddeus Young scored eighteen and had eleven rebounds to lead the team in that category. Jason Richardson had seventeen, Spencer Hawes scored twelve off the bench and Jrue Holiday had eleven points. The Sixers are now 13-14 on the season.
The Hawks have lost their last two games, and poor shooting is one reason why. They have shot under 40 percent in both games. They were tied with the Heat for the division lead a few games ago, but now are two and a half games back.
Josh Smith led the Hawks with seventeen points. Williams scored thirteen points off the bench and Kyle Korver was the only other Hawk to score in double figures, he had eleven. Devin Harris missed another game with his sore foot, it is not known when he will return to the lineup.
The Hawks are now 15-9 on the year. They will return home to play their fourth game in five days tomorrow night. The Chicago Bulls come to town with their 14-10 record. They beat one of the NBA's best, the New York Knicks, in their last game. Game time is at 7 p.m.
Lou Williams' return to Philadelphia didn't go well, as the Hawks lost 99-80.
